Moallem: Syria Has Formally Approved the Russian Initiative

Islam Times - Syria foreign Minister Walid Moallem announced that his country has formally approved the Russian suggestion to hand over the chemical weapons to an international supervision.

"We held yesterday fruitful negotiations with the Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov, and Syria has formally approved the Russian initiative in order to avert the US-led aggression," Moallem was quoted by the Russian news agencies.
 
The Russian suggestion included handing over the Syrian chemical weapons to an international control before destructing them.
