Iran condemns crackdown in Bahrain - will generate more instability says Iran FM spokesperson

Islam Times - “Escalating the security-police environment and the arrest and detention of political activists for baseless excuses will not only fail to resolve the existing problems, but also will further complicate them,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said Sunday following the arrest of al-Wefaq Khalil al-Marzouq.

She also expressed hope that Bahraini officials would take confidence-building measures and pave the way for constructive talks with the opposition to realize the legitimate demands of the people.
