DebkaFile – Saudi Arabia finance Russia-Egypt arm deal

Islam Times - DebkaFile – Israeli intelligence analysis website – confirmed that Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of the Russian military intelligence, General Vyakislav Kondrascow arrived in Cairo at the head of a military delegation to discuss Russia-Egypt new arm deal, now that Cairo has decided to distance itself from Washington.

It is the first time in many years that a Russian military delegation is invited to visit the Egyptian capital.

According to DebkaFile, Israel intelligence services have discovered that Saudi Arabia will actually foot Egypt’s military arm sale bill.

The last time Egypt ordered Russian military equipment was back in 1972 under late President Anwar Sadat.
