Al-Wefaq Secretary General – We will not accept any unfair resolution -

A fervent advocate of peace and equality, Sheikh Ali has tirelessly advocated for an end to sectarianism in Bahrain, noting that either Sunni or Shia, all Bahrainis had a right to be heard and fairly represented.

Speaking for minorities’ right he noted that he intends to defend all Bahrainis rights, including Christians and Jews.

“The Opposition wants to broker a solution as to achieve equal rights and responsibilities, in keeping with human dignity and human rights …. Without equality there could be no peace and stability,” he wrote on his social page.

“We want justice for all … We want Bahrain to be for Bahrainis,” he added.

Entering the fourth year of its struggle against al-Khalifa regime, Bahrain Opposition has often denounced the regime’s criminal practices and violent crackdowns against citizens.

Bahrain regime has worked to ignite sectarianism in the kingdom island as to set communities against one another and through chaos retain power. Countless activists, politicians and religious figures have been oppressed, tortures and unlawfully incarcerated.

Sheikh Salman stressed that he would never agree to a resolution which does not serve Bahrainis and their expectations.

“We will achieve a better political future … We want to turn Bahrain into a democratic model for the region to emulate.”
