Eminent Pakistani scholar Taqi Hadi is martyred in Karachi

Media reports confirmed the cleric was targeted by terrorists in North Nazimabad on Thursday.

According to police, the incident took place when four unidentified armed men riding motorbikes opened fire at a taxi-rickshaw Allama Naqvi was riding in.  He immediately succumbed to his injuries.

His body was taken to the hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the murder.
Different political and religious parties and leaders have condemned the targeted murder of the professor who they said was a famous and respected religious scholar among all Sunni and Shia Muslims.

Majlis e Wahdat e Muslimeen condemning the killing of Allama Naqvi announced they would observe three-day mourning.

Meanwhile, Shia Ulema Council (SUC) Chief Allama Sajid Naqvi expressed his grief over the killing of Allama Taqi Hadi Naqvi.

Earlier, unknown gunmen opened fire outside a seminary located at Abul Hassan Isfahani Road that killed two persons including the administrator of seminary Qari Ali Hassan and his son.
