Sayyid Khamenei’s Message to Muslims regarding the Burning of the Quran

A portion of Sayyid Ali Khamenei’s message is as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Allah, the Honorable and Wise, states: “Verily we have sent the Reminder [Quran] and verily we are its protectors.”
Dear Iranian nation; Dear the greater Islamic ummah,
The insane and spiteful disrespect of the Glorious Quran that took place in America, under full police security, was a terrible event. It cannot be seen merely an idiotic movement that was performed by a few unimportant people.
This was as a measure that was accounted for by centers who have feared Islamic policies for years; by centers whose goals are to harm Islam. They have fought against Islam and the Quran in hundreds of methods and by using thousands of media tools.
This is another link in the chain of shame which started with the treachery of Salman Rushdie and continued with the actions of the despicable Danish cartoonist and the tens of anti-Islamic films created in Hollywood. Now, it has reached this spiteful presentation.
Who and what is behind the scenes of these evil actions?
Sayyid Ali Khamenei continued: “The purpose of the latest spiteful actions is to make the fight against Islam and Muslims in Christian societies on par with people’s movements. It has taken on the color of religion through the participation of priests…
These actions are not the start of a movement, rather they are one stage of a longer anti-Islamic movement led by the Zionists and America. All of the heads of the arrogant powers; all of the leaders of Kufr have stood up to Islam.
At the end of his message he said:
We must know that this latest action does not have anything to do with the church or Christianity. The actions of a few controlled idiotic priests must not be considered to be Christianity…
Muslims will never perform similar actions regarding the holy scriptures of other religions…
Those that Muslims should seek answers from are the government of America and its politicians. If they are truthful in stating that they had nothing to do with what happened they must punish the main factors behind this huge crime and those hwo performed it; those who hurt the hearts of 1.5 billion Muslims.
