Supreme Leader Stresses: Iranian Nation Will Never Bow to Pressure in Talks

In a meeting with thousands of the Iranian people from all walks of life on Tuesday, Khamenei urged the Iranians to boost economic, scientific and military capabilities through increased efforts at home, saying Tehran would follow the correct path in negotiations.
 
“Powers should know that the Iranian nation will never bow (under pressure) because the Iranian nation is a lively nation, and the country’s youth are treading the right path,”, state television quoted the Leader as saying.
 
“If we activate domestic potential and focus on local capabilities, the US and other powers will not be capable of doing a damn thing, whether military or non-military,” his eminence added.
 
He emphasized the importance of relying on the capabilities and talents of the Iranian youth, saying the country’s progress in the fields of nuclear know-how, medicine, stem cells, nanotechnology and defense industry, is a clear example of reliance on home-grown talents.
 
The Leader noted the iconic remark by the founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini, that "America cannot do a damn thing" can be realized.
