Mosul invasion was planned – Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi discusses plans over the phone

18 Jun 2014 07:32

Islam Times - According to sources close to the matter, Abu Bakr Al Bahgdadi, the infamous leader of ISIS – the Islamic Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant -ISIS or ISIL – would have discussed Mosul’s attack over the phone with other members of the organization.

As it happens, Al Baghdadi ordered troops to be transferred from Syria to Iraq weeks prior to the terror group’s move against the military in northern Iraq, hoping to use the element of surprise to its advantage.

Iraq’s takeover attempt is the result of careful planning. Al Baghdadi arranged and overviewed the transfer of hundreds of Takfiri militants from Latakia and Idlib and Deir ez-Zor to ensure that he would have enough manpower to take on the Iraqi army.

Experts have explained that Syrian President Bashar Al Assad’s advances and strategic victories against terror militants in Syria would have forced ISIS to look for a retreat – namely Iraq.

Al Baghdadi would have said in his phone conversation, “Syria is escaping us … the next three months will be crucial and we need to take actions… we need to have a fall-back option.”
