Israel to face new ignominious defeat: Iran official
On Sunday, Chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani highlighted Tel Aviv’s losses in its previous assaults on Gaza and said the “occupying and aggressive regime” will once again fail to achieve its goals and suffer another “humiliating” defeat.

Rafsanjani further slammed the Israeli regime’s brutal aerial and ground attacks against innocent women and children in Gaza, criticizing the international circles which, he said, have remained tight-lipped in the face of Israeli atrocities while claiming to be human rights advocates.

The Iranian official also called on all Muslims to turn out en masse in the upcoming rallies marking International Quds Day, which falls on the last Friday of Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month.

Israeli warplanes began pounding the impoverished Gaza Strip on July 8. The Israeli military also launched a ground offensive against the blockaded coastal sliver on July 17.

New reports say the Tel Aviv regime’s latest indiscriminate attacks against Gaza have so far killed 478 people, with a large number of the fatalities being women and children. More than 3,000 people have also been injured in the assaults.

Palestinian resistance fighters have also responded to the Israeli fatal attacks by firing a barrage of rockets deep into Israeli cities.

According to Hamas military wing al-Qassam Brigades, Palestinian resistance fighters have killed at least 32 Israeli forces since Saturday.
