Pentagon prepares for the worst, WikiLeaks to release Iraq war secrets

Islam Times , 17 Oct 2010 05:01

Islam Times - The Pentagon is reviewing its war database to prepare for potential fallout from WikiLeaks, which is expected to release secret documents regarding the war in Iraq that the public is not aware of Sunday.

Pentagon officials are petrified, saying “The problem is we have no idea what WikiLeaks has or is going to release, so we’re preparing for the worst – a clear indication that there is more to the truth on America’s wars than the public knows about.

Wikileaks is the controversial online organization that was created to reveal government secrets, with over 400,000 classified logs available from Iraq. Early this year, WikiLeaks released nearly 75,000 classified US military classified documents on the war in Afghanistan adding more salt to an unhealed wound.

Pentagon officials are actually warning the public that the revelation about intelligence information can have unpredictable consequences, potentially undermining efforts to monitor and disrupt militants plotting attacks.”

The Pentagon is preparing over 400,000 documents from the Iraq war to match the amount of logs on the WikiLeaks website.
