"I think he'd beat her," he said in an interview with CNN on Sunday.
Bush also demanded his brother Jeb Bush, a former governor of Florida, to run for president.
"He knows I want him to run," he said. "If I need to reiterate it, I will: Run, Jeb. I think he'd be a great president."
When asked whether he considered Hillary Clinton to be "formidable," Bush replied, "Very much so. No question. So is he, though.”
Democratic Hillary Clinton and Republican Jeb Bush have not declared a candidacy for the next presidential election in 2016.
However, both of them are considered to be frontrunners for their parties.
Last month, President Barack Obama said that Hillary Clinton would make a great president should she decide to run for the White House.
Mentioning Clinton by name, Obama told ABC News that she would be a "formidable candidate" and make "a great president" if she decides to run a second time.
