Syria Takfiris launch mortar attack on Jordan, 2 injured
Jordanian state media said on Saturday that two mortar shells fired by the militants in Syria hit a neighborhood of Ramtha located north of the capital Amman.

Yousef Tahat, director of the Ramtha hospital, confirmed that the attacks wounded two Jordanian citizens, who received treatment.

On February 6, Jordan’s fighter jets carried out a series of new retaliatory air strikes against the hideouts of the ISIL terrorists in Syria after the ruthless killing of the Jordanian pilot, Moaz al-Kassasbeh, at the hands of the Takfiri terrorists two days earlier.

The ISIL released a video online showing the Takfiri terrorists set alight the 26-year-old Jordanian pilot, who had been taken hostage in December 2014. The video showed Kassasbeh dressed in an orange jumpsuit and getting surrounded by flames of fire inside a cage.

The pilot had been captured by ISIL militants when his plane went down in northern Syria during a mission against the terrorist group.

Jordanian King Abdullah II has pledged to step up the fight against the ISIL and other militant groups.

ISIL, with members from several Western countries, controls parts of Syria and Iraq, and has been carrying out horrific acts of violence such as public decapitations and crucifixions against all communities such as Shias, Sunnis, Kurds and Christians.

Jordan has been hosting secret US bases set up to train militants fighting the Syrian government. The militancy has led to the expansion of ISIL.
