Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair may face new charges over his role in allegedly helping rescue former Libya dictator.
Based on a biography of Prime Minister David Cameron to be published soon, Blair “telephoned Downing Street during the Libyan war to explain he had been contacted by a key individual close to Gaddafi.”

In the book, titled “Cameron at 10” by Sir Anthony Seldon, who has also written biographies of previous Prime Ministers Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and John Major, Cameron says Blair told the PM’s office the Libyan dictator wanted to cut a deal with Britain, but Cameron did not take up the offer.

Now some parliament members maintain that Blair should reply their questions over the claim.

Tory MP Daniel Kawczynski accused Blair of indulging a “sordid” and “irresponsible” idea.

Meanwhile, Scottish National Party (SNP) MP Stephen Gethins said the claims raised serious questions about Blair’s links to the Gaddafi regime.
