US military staff targeted in Germany

Islam Times reports from Press TV: The shooting took place on Wednesday while the bus was transporting US military staff at Europe's second largest airport.

"Everything happened on board the bus," police spokesman Juergen Linker told AFP.

"The suspected gunman has been arrested. There are two dead and two seriously injured," he said.

Reports say that a 21-year-old opened fire on the bus driver and an American soldier. The police official was unable to confirm if the victims were US military personnel.

A large number of US troops are stationed in Germany with some stationed at the Ramstein airbase, near Frankfurt.
