Islam Times - The Iranian Foreign Minister said the real danger of ISIS terrorist group is not limited to Lebanon or Syria but threatens the whole region and world.

During his visit to Lebanon on Monday, Mohammad Javad Zarif said “we face multiple challenges. The danger of the Zionist Regime [Israeli] threatens not only Lebanon but also the whole region and the world. Also the danger of Takfiri terrorism is not limited to Syria or Lebanese people who bear the heavy burden of refugees, but the Takfiri and extremist ideology is the ideology that threatens the whole world”.

Zarif congratulated Lebanese newly elected president, Michel Aoun and hailed the people of the country for their victory to reach a consensus to break the two and a half years old political stalemate.

“Lebanese people proved the possibility of reaching a popular solution, we think, which could be called a win-win solution. Everybody in the region and in Lebanon is happy about the result,” Zarif said.

“I wish everybody accepts that besides fighting terrorism, only a political solution could resolve the Syrian, Iraqi, or Yemeni crisis in our region,” he added.

Michel Aoun was elected as Lebanese president on 31st October ending more than two and a half years of presidency void in the country.
