Al-Qaeda Attack in Southern Yemen

The dead included seven terrorists, six members of the security forces and five civilians.

A suicide bomber attacked the town hall of al-Hawtah district and killed six officers and five civilians. This was followed by a terrorist gang attacking the building, repelled by security forces, killing seven of them and the remainder fled.

Al-Qaeda and Daesh are taking advantage of the deteriorating security situation to expand their control in southern Yemen.
