The Pentagon vowed Monday to continue the fight as the impoverished country continued suffering from a massive aerial aggression by neighboring Saudi Arabia, backed by a number of African and Persian Gulf Arab states.

Pentagon spokesman Navy Captain Jeff Davis did not elaborate on the exact location of the strikes or those targeted in the fight allegedly against al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

"We continue to target AQAP in Yemen and this is done in the interests of disrupting this terror organization that presents a very significant threat to the United States," Davis said.

The United States has increased its presence in Yemen allegedly to fight the Takfiris following the election of Donald Trump as president.

Elsewhere in the Arab world’s poorest country, the Yemeni army and the Houthi Ansarullah movement have been hitting back at the kingdom and Saudi mercenaries inside country since the Riyadh-led onslaught began on March 26, 2015.
