Militants Killing Each Other in Northern Aleppo – Turkey’s Annexation Plans Exposed

17 Apr 2017 06:43

Islam Times - More than 90 terrorists were killed or wounded in clashes between the Turkey-backed al-Shamiyeh Front (SF) and Suleiman Shah fighters near the border town of Jarablus shortly after Turkey appointed a new commander.

The clashes between the rival terrorists expanded up to the Central part of al-Qandoureh region west of Jarabulus, and 40 terrorists were killed and more than 50 wounded (from both sides) and the clashes are continuing.

A militant commander in northern Syria disclosed that Ankara initiated a plan to purchase large swathes of land in northern Aleppo province to annex to Turkey. Turkish officials formed a committee that includes several locals in order to convince civilians to sell their buildings in return for large sums of cash.

They tried to persuade the owners of properties in al-Bab that the buyers would only own the buildings but the lands would remain under their ownership. They also promised to give residential buildings in al-Rai region at the Turkey-Syria border to those people who would sell their buildings to Turkish buyers.

Turkey had a detailed plan to annex vast parts of Northern Syria and intends to divide the regions under the control of its proxy forces into two separate regions affiliated to Turkey's Kilis and Gaziantep regions to manage their affairs in northern Syria.

Later, the annexed regions would develop economic links with Turkey and would also start using the Turkish lira in their trade transactions.
