Syria Vows Cooperation with Iraq to Eliminate ISIS after Mosul Victory
In a message of congratulations to the Iraqi government people and government following the total defeat of ISIS in the key Iraqi, city of Mosul, the Syrian government stressed that it is going ahead in cooperation with Iraq to eliminate of ISIS completely.

The Syrian government hailed the victory achieved by the Iraqi Army and Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in Mosul against ISIS saying this is a victory for all those who believe in eradicating ISIS terrorism.

The Syrian government paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in the framework of the universal war against terrorism.

The Syrian government noted that that the collapse of the alleged ISIS “state” in Mosul is just the beginning of the collapse of the fantasies of terrorists and all those providing support to them.

The message noted that the Syrian people, army, and government are going ahead alongside the Iraqi people, government, army, and PMU to eradicate what remains of ISIS, because the mobilization of the joint efforts of the two countries is the main factor to guarantee that ISIS or any other form of terrorism will not return to these two countries or any other part of the region.

On Sunday, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced final victory over the ISIS Takfiri terrorist group in Mosul after eight months of combat against the extremists, which has left parts of the country’s second largest city in ruins. After the liberation of Mosul, all attention now turns to the Syrian city of Raqqa, the de facto capital of ISIS, which is now expected to fall as Syrian forces make advances. The liberation of Raqqa will herald the complete annihilation of ISIS in its current form.
