Islam Times - Bolivian president visits Cuba

Bolivian President Evo Morales arrived on Thursday morning in Cuba for a one-day visit to meet with Cuban leader Raul Castro and former leader Fidel Castro.

Morales gave a speech at the University of La Habana (UH), where he thanked Cuba for its "unconditional solidarity" with Bolivia.

Morales said that the processes of revolutionary transformations in Latin America are irreversible and he stressed the participation of the indigenous people in the independence battles of the region since almost 200 years ago.

Those efforts are disavowed by the oligarchy "which always has despised the native peoples of the continent," Morales said.
