Iran envoy, Pakistan governor, discuss bilateral trade ties

The Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost has called on Governor of southern Sindh province Muhammad Zubair and discussed bilateral trade ties.


During the meeting which took place at Governor House in Karachi, matters related to Pak-Iran bilateral trade and investment opportunities came under discussion.

Iranian Consul General to Karachi Ahmed Mohammadi was also present on the occasion.

Governor Muhammad Zubair said people of Pakistan and Iran are closely linked to each other through centuries old relationship based on common religious beliefs and cultural norms.

Karachi, he said is the economic hub of Pakistan and restoration of peace here has revived the potential it holds as a major port city in the region.

The Governor invited Iranian investors to take benefit of economic opportunities in the province that will serve both the sides.

Ambassador Honardoost said Iran will continue its support for the development of Sindh province.
