Turkey Claims Killing 950 Kurdish Militias, ISIS Terrorists in Syria’s Afrin
According to a statement issued by the Turkish General Staff, the army “neutralized” 23 Kurdish and ISIS fighters in the early hours of Tuesday.

Turkey's so-called Operation Olive Branch was launched on 20 January days after Washington said it would work with the Kurdish militias to set up a 30,000-strong border force near Turkish soil, a move that infuriated Ankara.

Ankara views the US-backed Kurdish YPG militias as a terror organization and the Syrian branch of the outlawed Kurdish Workers Party (PKK). The latter has been fighting for an autonomous region inside Turkey since 1984.

Syria has condemned the Turkish aggression against its territory and vowed to respond with appropriate action.
