The remains of an F-16 Israeli war plane are seen near the village of Harduf, occupied Palestinian territories,
The warning comes days after Syrian air defenses shot down an advanced US-made Israeli regime's warplane that had committed acts of aggression inside the Arab state's territory.

The F-16 jet was hit over northern occupied territories on Saturday as it returned from an act of aggression inside Syria.

"Have full confidence the aggressor will be greatly surprised, because it thought this war - this war of attrition Syria has been exposed to for years - had made it incapable of confronting attacks," Assistant Foreign Minister Ayman Sussan said.

"God willing, they will see more surprises whenever they try to attack Syria," Sussan said during a Damascus news conference.

The downed F-16 was the first warplane the Israeli regime lost since its 1982 aggression on Lebanon.

Hezbollah and Hamas resistance movements have hailed the Syrian Air Defense Force for shooting down the Israeli warplane which had conducted aggression inside Syria territory.

Today's developments mean the old equations have categorically ended,” Hezbollah noted, adding that the Lebanese resistance movement firmly and strongly supported the Syrian people in defending their land, sovereignty and legitimate rights.

Meanwhile, a senior official of the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement, Hamas, said his fellow fighters and the Palestinian nation stand by Syria in the face of Israel’s latest act of aggression against the Arab country plagued with foreign-sponsored terrorism since 2011.
