Anti-Salman Palestinian Professor Refuses Attending Cultural Event in Bahrain for Safety Reasons
The US-based professor who fiercely criticized Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman over brutal murder of dissent journalist Jamal Kashoggi, explained her refusal to attend in a cultural event in Sheikh Ebrahim center in Bahrain, saying that she feared for her life.  Bahrain is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

Kayed said in a tweet "I apologize for the Kingdom of Bahrain and Sheikha Mai Al Khalifa director of Sheikh Ebrahim Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research in Bahrain for not accepting their invitation to take part in the cultural event that continues until next May, because I asked them if they could guarantee my safety and security during my visit to Bahrain, but they didn't answer."

Khashoggi, a critic of Saudi regime, particularly Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was brutally killed in kingdom's Istanbul consulate on October 2 in a hit which Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan says was ordered at the “highest levels” of the Saudi regime.

Since Khashoggi's killing, Kayed has been calling on for an uprising against Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to topple him.
