Islam Times - Iraqi Senior Officials: US Is Protecting ISIS Leaders

Islam Times - A senior Iraqi lawmaker Hasan Salem said that US forces at the Ain al-Assad military base protected Daesh gang leader Ibrahim al-Samarrai, aka Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, in the desert west of Iraq's Anbar province.

"Al-Baghdadi used the Anbar desert as a safe haven, while US forces gave him all the means of support from their station at Ain al-Assad military base in Anbar province," Salem said in February.

Iraqi officials argued at the time that American support for al-Baghdadi "stemmed from Washington's fear of plans and laws regarding the expulsion of foreign forces from Iraq."

Also in February, former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki for the first time leaked secrets about how the United States supported Daesh and deliberately allowed Takfiri terror forces to gain power in Iraq so that Washington could infiltrate back into the Arab country.

He said the government of former US President Barack Obama had played a key role in Daesh's creation by allowing the terrorist group to control Iraq.

In March, an Iraqi security expert also revealed that the American embassy in Iraq was seen doing suspicious activity, describing the place as a space for US-Israeli operations trying to make the region unstable.
