Ibrahim Mohammad al-Dailami held talks with the Iranian foreign minister on Sunday.

Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement issued a decree on August 17 appointing Dailami as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Yemen to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Yemen's official Saba News Agency reported.

Yemen's Arabic-language al-Masirah news website said the "step reinforces formal institutional work within the framework of the Supreme Political Council and the Salvation Government."

In a meeting with a visiting delegation from Houthi Ansarullah movement, led by its spokesman Mohammed Abdul-Salam, in Tehran in August, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei warned that the Saudi regime and the United Arab Emirates — which have been leading a deadly campaign against Yemen — are after partitioning the fellow Arab country, calling for strong resistance in the face of the plot.

Ayatollah Khamenei further emphasized the need for protecting the war-torn country’s “unity” and “territorial integrity,” saying, “Preservation of Yemen’s integrity, given the country’s various religious ideologies and ethnicities, requires Yemeni-Yemeni dialog.”
