US House of Representatives thwart Republican effort to prevent Trump's impeachment inquiry.

Islam Times - The US House of Representatives, which dominated by a Democratic majority, on Friday rejected a bill that would bar a formal investigation into the start of proceedings, accountability of President Donald Trump as a prelude to impeach him.

The bill was introduced by Republican leader Kevin McCarthy in the House of Representatives, a total of 184 deputies voted in favor, 222 against, and the vote was largely party-based.

The bill highlights the deep division between the two parties in the House of Representatives, on an effort of Republican Party to investigate Trump's behavior.

Earlier this week, US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced an investigation to dismiss Trump for accusing him of pressuring his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zielinski to tarnish the image of a possible presidential candidate.
