Putin: Russia does not breach its obligations

"We always fulfill our commitments," Putin said in response to a question by Georgian television about when Russia will implement the commitments it made in 2008.

Russia and Georgia do not have diplomatic relations, and the dialogue between the two countries continues through Geneva and the Prague talks since 2012.

The Georgian side severed relations with Russia after Moscow recognized the sovereignty of Abkhazia and South Ossetia on August 26, 2008 and deployed troops on their territory, following the repulsion of Georgia's attack on South Ossetia and Russian peacekeepers in the region.

Russian leaders have stated many times that recognizing the independence of these two republics reflects reality and does not accept revision.
