Islam Times - Jordan calls on Turkey to stop the operation in Syria immediately

Islam Times - Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has called for an end to the military operation in northeastern Syria, stressing his rejection of "any diminution of Syria's sovereignty."

"We demand that Turkey immediately stop its attack on Syria and resolve all issues through dialogue within the framework of international law," Safadi wrote in a tweet on Twitter.

He added: “We reject any diminution of Syria's sovereignty and condemn any aggression that threatens its unity. We affirm that solving the crisis politically to preserve Syria's unity, cohesion and the rights of its citizens and rid it of terrorism and its danger is the way to achieve security for Syria and its neighbors.

The Arab League is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting at the level of foreign ministers, on Saturday, to discuss the "Turkish aggression" on Syrian territory, in opposition to the backdrop of the start of the Turkish military operation against Kurdish units in northeastern Syria.
