Macron asked Johnson for a quick clarification on Brexit
"The French president held talks with the British prime minister and agreed with him on the need for a quick clarification," a French presidential official said.

The official added that Macron "indicated that the postponement will not be in the interest of anyone."

The House of Commons decided yesterday to postpone the Brexit vote, while Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he would not negotiate a new postponement.

The British parliament voted by 322 votes to 306 in favor of a legislative amendment requiring the Johnson government to postpone the exit until the end of January 2020, until the adoption of the "Brexit" agreement by the House of Commons.

Under the legislative amendment, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson must send a letter demanding that the EU extend the Brexit deadline until the end of January 2020.
