Erdogan: We will crush the heads of Kurdish fighters in northern Syria if they do not withdraw

20 Oct 2019 07:07

Islam Times - Turkish President announces his country's intention to resume its military operation in northeast Syria as Kurdish fighters did not withdraw from the region within the specified period, threatening to "crush their heads," stressing that his country has not retreated from the conditions it set from the beginning.

Erdogan said on Friday that Operation Peace Spring in northeastern Syria would continue with greater firmness by the end of the 120-hour deadline if the United States does not keep its promises.

The Turkish president stressed that his country effectively confronted the elements of the terrorist organization "Daesh" in Syria, and disclosed to inform US President Donald Trump of his intention to start the operation "peace spring" northeast of Syria one night before its launch.

"If the agreement with the Americans does not work, we will continue where we left off, at the end of the 120 hours, and we will continue to crush the terrorists' heads," Erdogan said.

"If the commitments made to our country are not met, we will not wait as before, and we will continue the process as soon as the deadline expires," he added.
