The Iraqi Army is Conducting a Military Operation Near the Saudi Border

The Iraqi Defense Ministry said in a statement that the 7th Infantry Division, led by Brigadier General Ali Al-Raad, commander of the Infantry Division, Raad Mahmoud Abed Bishr, embarked on a qualitative operation in Wadi Ja'al, Sin Al-Theeb and Wadi Horan, west of Anbar, west of the country.

According to the defense, the airborne force came under the command of the division commander for the purpose of search and inspection, and clashed with a terrorist group riding two motorcycles, and resulted in the killing of three terrorists, and the arrest of two other elements wearing explosive belts.

"The force seized two explosive belts, Kalashnikovs, M16 rifles and two motorcycles, and returned without incident," the defense ministry said.













In December 2017, Iraq announced the liberation of its entire territory from ISIS after nearly three and a half years of clashes with the terrorist group, which occupied nearly one third of the country and declared what it called a “caliphate.”
