Venezuelan President Condemns "Coup" Against Bolivian President

Morales' allies in Bolivia abandoned him after weeks of protests over the disputed Oct. 20 election.

"We strongly condemn the coup against our brother president" Maduro wrote on Twitter.

Morales, who came to power nearly 14 years ago, said earlier on Sunday he would resign to help restore stability.
