Turkey has Set a Date to Deport 11 ISIS to France

28 Nov 2019 17:45

Islam Times - Eleven French-born militants from the Islamic State (IS) terror group will soon be deported from Turkey to France, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Thursday.

He said in a press statement: "We will leave eleven French citizens, ISIS fighters, to France in early December."

The Interior Ministry announced the deportation of eight ISIS militants, who were arrested by the Turkish army, to Germany and the United Kingdom.

Turkish security forces recently arrested large numbers of ISIS operatives of European countries, during the operation "spring of peace" last month against Kurdish forces in areas of northeastern Syria.

Some European countries are denying citizenship to their ISIS citizens to prevent them from returning to Europe. They believe that the best solution is to let them remain in the prisons of the countries that have arrested them.
