Islam Times - A spokesman for the Mexican Foreign Ministry, Roberto Velasco, said that former Bolivian President Evo Morales had left Mexico on Friday for Cuba.

Velasco wrote on Twitter: “Friday morning, Mr. Morales traveled to Cuba. We have been informed that his flight is of a temporary nature.”

Those close to Morales confirmed to "Novosti" that the former president went to Cuba to obtain medical advice.

Morales was forced to announce his resignation and leave his country last month, after weeks of protests against the controversial presidential election results, which resulted in his victory.
