75 Prisoners Escape from Jail in Paraguay

"The director of the prison in Pedro, near the border with Brazil, Juan Caballero and six other prison officials, were dismissed against the background of the accident," Paraguay's Minister of Justice Cecilia Perez told reporters.

"Among those fleeing are members of the First Capital Command gang, which is the most dangerous organized crime gang in Brazil," she noted.

"It was a process that took days and it is impossible for officials not to realize that the prisoners were planing ... It was clearly a paid plan," she added.
