Turkish Protesters Rally Against Trump's 'Deal of the Century' in Istanbul

Organizers invited all party leaders to join demonstrators against the US-led plan for what they deem is creating “a country with no imagination and no territory”.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also stated that Trump’s proposal to “leave Jerusalem to Israel is never acceptable” and emphasized that it ignores Palestinians’ rights and tries to legitimize Israel’s occupation.

Trump unveiled his much-hyped “Deal of the Century” alongside Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in Washington DC on January 28. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas rejected the plan as being one-sided in favor of Israel.
