US B-52 Bomber Pounds Taliban Positions: Report

Islam Times - According to an Afghanistan-based journalist, Taliban positions in Siawoshan area of Herat have been bombed by a US Boeing B-52 Stratofortress.

"US B-52 bombed Taliban positions in Siawoshan area of Herat! It seems the big military operation to push the Taliban back from all Herat provinces is started", Massoud Hossaini, an Afghan journalist and political activist reported in his Twitter account on Friday night.

"Afghanistan MoD and Commando units have arrived an hour ago", he added.
