What’s Message of Iranian FM’s Regional Tour?
At the same time of sporadic attacks of the Israeli regime on the territory of Syria and Lebanon and the possibility of conflict between these countries with Tel Aviv, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian visited Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria on his regional tour to meet and discuss the developments in the region with the officials of these countries.

Amir Abdollahian arrived in Baghdad on the first stop of his regional trip on Thursday and met with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani and Iraqi National Security Adviser Qassem al-Araji. According to Iraqi sources, Amir-Abdollahian’s trip was made to discuss the situation in Palestine and the coordination of the Islamic world to support the Palestinians, as well as to implement a bilateral security agreement between the two countries.

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi resistance groups are on alert in support of the people of Gaza and warned the US that if it intervenes in the battle between the Palestinian groups and the Israeli military, they will target all the country’s bases in the region. Now, Public Mobilization Forces (PMF), a voluntary force formed in opposition to ISIS terrorist group in Iraq, is considered as one of the strongest arms of the Axis of Resistance in the region due to its extensive military capabilities and great experience against terrorist groups, and if the conditions require, they can deal heavy blows to the Israeli enemy and its Western supporters in the region.

After Iraq, the top Iranian diplomat visited Beirut and, while being welcomed by high-ranking officials of Palestinian groups at the Lebanese airport, on Friday he met with Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and the caretaker Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati. In this meeting, a Hezbollah statement said, recent events and developments in the region after Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, and the brutal killing of people in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the West Bank were discussed. Also, in this meeting, the international and regional conditions and positions, the possible outcomes of war were discussed, and responsibilities of all amid these dangerous and historic developments were discussed.

“What is important to us is the security of Lebanon and maintaining the peace there, and this is one of purposes of my trip. I suggest a meeting for regional leaders to discuss the current situation,” Amir-Abdollahian said.

For his part, Mikati stressed thee need for diplomatic efforts by all sides to stop the bombardment of Gaza.

Amir-Abdollahian’s visit to Beirut was made while after launching Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by Hamas movement, the Hezbollah forces, according to their own duty and the warnings they had previously given against the Israeli adventures in Gaza and the West Bank, launched several rocket attacks on the the Israeli military sites in the occupied territories.

Message to Tel Aviv and the West

There is no doubt that Iranian FM’s regional tour carries an important message to the Israeli regime and its Western backers, telling them that if they continue warmongering, the Resistance camp will react and will not stand actionless to the onslaught on Gaza.

Amir-Abdollahian asserted that if the Israeli atrocities continue, odds are new fronts would be opened against Tel Aviv.

“We are here to announce loudly with the Islamic nations and states that we will not tolerate the crime of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza,” he said from Beirut.

Although the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that the recent operation against Israeli occupation was purely Palestinian, it also warned that it will not remain silent in the face of the crimes of the occupiers against Palestine and the resistance groups in the region, and even the empty threats of the US cannot silence the Axis of Resistance in front of the Israeli crimes in Gaza.

In recent days, Washington officials warned Iran and Hezbollah not to get involved in the conflicts in Gaza, because in this case, Washington will also act in support of Tel Aviv.

He added: “The Americans call everyone to exercise self-restraint, but they provide weapons and aids to Israel and leave Netanyahu’s hand free to continue the crime. America wants to give Israel a chance to destroy Gaza, and this is America’s complete mistake, and if they want the war in the region not to expand, they should rein in Israel.”

Amir-Abdollahian’s visit was important because Tehran is trying to convey this message to the Israeli leaders that the wings of the Resistance camp in the region are completely united and ready for different scenarios. While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that he will change the shape of the region with a ground offensive on Gaza, the main message of the Resistance camp is that a ground offensive will certainly change the face of the region, but the result is not as Tel Aviv wishes, rather, it will give birth to a region without Israeli occupation.

This clear message was given to the Israelis while since the beginning of the recent conflict, the leaders of Tel Aviv have been very worried about the opening of a second front on the border with Lebanon, and for this reason, they have dispatched thousands of their military forces to the northern front to steer clear of being surprised by Hezbollah involvement in the war as the case was in Gaza.

One development that showed that the Israeli leaders very well received Amir-Abdollahian’s message and grew worried was the attacks on Damascus and Aleppo airports just before his landing in Syria. His airplane was diverted to Lebanon as the airport runways took damages.

Raising an international campaign against occupiers

By advancing a regional diplomacy in support of the Palestinian people, Iran is seeking to build an international campaign in support of the Palestinians and condemnation of the Israeli crimes. The push for holding an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and talks with leaders of Muslim countries in recent days have served this purpose. In Beirut, Amir-Abdollahian called on the Islamic governments to raise their voice in support of Gaza and call for end of the Israeli war crimes and blockade against children and women in Gaza.

Regional convergence of the Muslims can put pressure on the Israeli regime and force it retreat. In recent months, Netanyahu specially counted on Arab normalization with Tel Aviv and broader crimes in Gaza only sink the normalization process. For example, before the war, Saudi Arabia was moving towards normalization, but now it said it ended thaw negotiations with the Israeli government. Therefore, if the Muslim countries act cohesively against the Israeli occupation, Tel Aviv will be left with no choice but to surrender.
