Fallujah refugees: Ayatollah Sistani a symbol of unity among Iraqi people

Basim al-Nasrawi, one of the committee members, said this week, a relief convoy made its forth trip to provide to relief to refugees. “All praise be to God, we were able to provide them with proper assistance and reduce the problems they face,” he said.
 
al-Nasrawi said that the convey distributed 1,750 food baskets and approximately 1,000 servings of prepared iftar meals as well as some essential items such as refrigerators, water containers, 2,000 cases of mineral water, 1,000 carpets, and 1,000 pairs of children’s and women’s clothes to the displaced refugees.
 
He added that the assistance and visits from the Iraqi Migrants Relief Centre had a significant impact on the morale of the refugees and helped them meet some of their most urgent needs.
 
The refugees and displaced people appreciated the policies and assistance given by the Iraqi Migrants Relief Centre and said that the police of Ayatollah al-Sistani demonstrate the spirit of Islam and the teachings of Ahlul-Bayt and prove that Ayatollah al-Sistani is a symbol of the unity of the Iraqi people.
 
On Sunday, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) said that over the past three days at least 30,000 Iraqis have been displaced due to the fighting in Fallujah, and that some 32,000 other citizens had already been displaced since the government forces began the offensive against Takfiri terrorists about a month ago.
 
In the early hours of June 17, Iraqi forces announced they had seized almost full control over the strategic city, which had been in the hands of the Takfiri ISIL terrorists for almost two and a half years.
