How Obama and Clinton Brought Slavery to Libya

Under the pretext of “responsibility to protect”, covered by organizations such as Human Rights Watch, US propaganda gave an atrocity the appearance of a humanitarian act.

Now, reports from the media and the International Organization for Migration indicate that African migrants are being openly bought and sold in Libya. Could this have taken place if Gaddafi was not murdered by US-backed terrorists in 2011?

Obama’s evil success in Libya set off an endless trail of disasters and today Libya is a hotbed of Daesh activity. It is no coincidence that Libya, Iraq and Syria were targets of US regime change and even the US ambassador in Libya fell victim to his own government’s machinations in Benghazi.

European countries are struggling to contend with the flow of people from Syria and Libya fleeing US designs in that part of the world. Deafening silence emerge from the corporate media who only report on the refugee/ migrant crisis without ever stating that the US is entirely responsible for it.

Even press reports of slave trading in Libya follow the same proscribed language, continue slandering Gaddafi as an autocrat and dictator, but omit that the humanitarian disaster stemmed from the US, NATO, and Gulf monarchs. The dismemberment of Libya is one of many crimes that are conveniently shoved down the memory hole.

The awful irony is that America’s first Black president was responsible for slavery taking place in a once-prosperous African country and his role is covered up by people who once would have condemned his actions.

The corporate media do not fulfill their most basic obligations as they repeat lies told by people they decided to protect. They hide the truth and disappear it from discourse and from history, but it could not silence people who put themselves in the anti-war camp.

When they read, or hear about refugees and migrants dying or being sold as slaves, they must state loudly and clearly that Obama and Clinton are the villains in the story.
