I will never Accept Retreating to the 1967 Borders
Benyamin Netanyahu said in a Hebrew interview with the Haaretz Newspaper: “The previous Israeli governments did not accept retreating to the 1967 borders. It is clear that my government will never accept this either.”

He was asked if Mahmoud Abbas accepted Israel as a Jewish state; his answer was: “I asked this question in the conference in New York. I told Mahmoud Abbas that peace would only occur when they officially recognize Israel as a Jewish states just as they want us to officially recognize Palestine as a Palestinian state.”

In an interview with the Israeli Army radio station, the prime minister said: “Serious talks with Palestinians will occur over the next few weeks. The crisis with Palestine started over fifty years ago with the building of settlements and increased after the retreat from South Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.”

He emphasized: “Israel will never overlook Palestinians’ actions until their true intentions for peace are proven. Nothing will change quickly until they officially recognize Israel as a Jewish nation.”

In regards to Barack Obama, the president of the United States, stating that the continuation of building settlements is illegal, he said: “This is not serious. The sentence which Barack Obama used is something that he repeated from his Cairo speech. This is the same thing that the leaders of the United States have been repeating for 40 years.”
