Lendman, who is also a radio host said he was not surprised by the “Trump regime” for blacklisting the IRGC. He said Iran is a country of peace while "America is waging war on humanity."

“The Trump regime -- which is what it is -- designated Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps a terrorist organization, which of course, it is not," he said.

Lendman went on to say that while Iran is a peaceful country with a centuries-long track record of no attack on other nations, the US has proven to be the opposite.

“Iran for centuries has not attacked another nation ... [however,] America is waging war on humanity, abroad and at home. US inner cities are a battleground where killer cops can kill black Americans and other people of color,” Lendman said.

The American scholar acknowledged that the Iranians were peaceful and wanted to work and cooperate with other countries,  while the Americans were the opposite and wanted other nations to be subservient and bend to America's will.

He said that if a government resisted the US influence and decided to remain sovereign and independent and not give in, the US would pursue “regime change” in that country, as is the case in Iran, as well as other countries.

“This is the way the US operates and there is no ambiguity about it. The whole world knows this,” Lendman said.

He said the political pressure and economic sanctions imposed on Iran were all “illegal” and other countries could disregard them.

Lendman said the US sanctions against Iran were both illegal and ineffective.

“Iran has for 40 years resisted everything Iran has thrown at it … none of the US sanctions work … Iran won’t be harmed … it will continue to survive,” Lendman said.

On the other hand, the US, which is desperately trying to retain its power, will not survive, because it is getting weaker and weaker every day and will soon dissolve.

“It shows that America is weakening. It is a declining country. The US will end up like all other empires in history - it will dissolve,” Lendman said.
