Golan residents mark anniversary of 1982 strike

Enchanting slogans, they condemned what they called Israeli atrocity against them.

The crowed affirmed their affiliation to the mother land Syria under the leadership of Bashar Al Assad, and said that there is no replacement to their Syrian citizenship.

They said, in fact that was the main reason for their strike in 1982 as Israel in the past tried in vain to impose its own citizenship on the Golan people by force, after the annexation decision of the occupied Golan to Israel.

Up until this moment, Israel uses all sort of methods to legitimize its annexation decision of the Golan but Golan people are firmly of the opinion that Golan will always be an Arab Syrian land.

According to an ancient saying, the old will die and the young will forget, but as it seems this saying does not apply to these people who are persistent in their resistance.
