Figures from the Iranian interior ministry show more than 48 million people eligible to vote in the ninth parliamentary elections of Iran. Iran’s interior ministry has announced that the election process will be managed by some 850 thousand people in 47000 polling stations and 1000 constituencies across the country.

Incase of an approval by the current parliament the next constituency will be able to increase the number of its seats from 290 to 310. This year the election headquarters in Iran’s interior ministry uses an electronic system to supervise the entire election process. The system is expected to speed up election procedures and enable the interior ministry to monitor the election process more accurately.
