Walid El Mouallem accuses Turkey of harboring armed insurgents and allowing them to smuggle weapons

El Mouallem also said that Turkey is not only harboring those who were forced to leave their homes, but is also receiving armed insurgents as well as establishing training camps and allowing them to breach the border and the smuggling of weapons from its territory.

He added: "Syria is a sovereign entity that has the right to defend its sovereignty against any breach of this sovereignty."
He pointed that all these acts oppose Kofi Annan’s mission and the 6 points Plan as well as the work towards the cessation of violence.

He said:” I must say, unfortunately that Turkey is part of our problem now in Syria and Turkey should declare their commitment to the Annan plan, which states that all States must respect the national sovereignty of Syria."
