Severed Human Foot Anonymously Sent to Canadian PM’s Office

Reports also suggest that the Ottawa Police also intercepted another mysterious package on its way to the same office with another undisclosed body part. Police were informed first of the foot by Harper’s office’s receptionist, who opened the blood soaked box on her desk.

Police say that the package was not addressed to any specific person, and only had “Canadian Conservative Party” written on the mailing address box.

"It's just awful," said Brad Trost, a member of the Conservative party who first learned about the incident from TV. He said it was probably someone's "sick idea."

"I don't think any of us are thinking this necessarily has anything to with politics," he said.

The sort of incident though was not confined to the nation’s capital, as a severed torso packed in a suitcase was discovered at a Montreal dump yard just earlier this week. Police though have yet to comment on whether a link between the two incidents can be established, and believe it’s too early to speculate potential perpetrators.
