“A truck loaded with explosives detonated at the coalition forces' camp in Pule Alam city," Logar police chief Ghulam Sakhi Rogh Lewanai said.

He added that at least 12 civilians were injured in the Tuesday attack.

"There has been an explosion at an ISAF facility in Logar province,” a NATO statement confirmed.

Local sources say 3 US-led forces have been injured in the blast.

Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack, according to a statement by a spokesman of the group, Zabiullah Mujahid.

Earlier on Tuesday, at least eight people were killed and five others were wounded after a Taliban bomb hit a minibus on the western outskirts of the Afghan capital, Kabul.

Insecurity continues to rise across Afghanistan despite the presence of about 130,000 US-led forces in the country.

According to the website icasualties.org, over 274 foreign troops, mostly US personnel, have lost their lives in Afghanistan so far this year.
