International Al-Quds day is an annual event that attracts hundreds of thousands of people from Palestine and around the world for the Palestinian cause.

However, the International Al-Quds day is not only a religious event but a political one as well. It’s open to Muslims and freedom loving people from all religion to stand and pressure Israel to stop its illegal occupation of the Palestinian lands.

Although ostensibly Israel allowed Palestinians to pray in al Aqsa mosque on the final Friday before al Eid, Damascus Gate was heavily policed and many Palestinians were turned away at the checkpoint as they attempted to enter from the West Bank.

The last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan has been declared as the International Al-Quds day and annual mass rallies against Israel in support of the Palestinian casue has been called.
