Hezbollah accuses Arab media outlets of launching media campaign against the movement
The Dubai based Saudi satellite channel, Al-Arabiya recently broadcast what it said were leaked documents from the Syrian intelligence services. Al-Arabiya said one of the revelations points to Syrian intelligence carrying out the assassination of Tueni in late 2005, with the assistance of Hezbollah’s intelligence services.

Hezbollah categorically denied the accusation, saying it was the work of Arab countries which comes in line with Israeli attempts to demonize Hezbollah and portray it as a terrorist movement. It also pointed out that by accusing Hezbollah of assassinating a Christian figure, there was an attempt to stir tensions with the Christian community.

It is being said that now more than ever some Arab countries stand on the same side of the political spectrum with Israel. These Arab countries have their allies in Lebanon who are also believed to share with Israel the enmity towards Hezbollah.
